This medium weight organic half linen broken twill has two different sides: The first is linen dominated, the second is cotton dominated. It carries the beautiful color and luster of natural linen.  The yarn is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the fabric was woven and washed according to the GOTS in Austria. The warp threads are organic linen, the weft threads are organic cotton.  The fabric was woven and washed according to the GOTS in Austria. The flax has been cultivated by organic farming in the coastal areas of France, Belgium and the Netherlands (kbA). The relatively thick  half linen fabric has a soft drape. It creases less than a pure linen fabric. The broken twill fabric is wonderful for opaque, thick clothing such as jackets, pants and vests, but equally suitable for dresses, skirts, blouses, shirts, and children’s clothing.  Its natural aesthetic also gives tabele cloths, curtains and blankets a unique, authentic quality. We recommend to reinforce cuff and shoulder seams with seam tape. Natural linen is bleached by sun light.  Linen shrinks about 3-5% in the first washes. To determine the exact shrinkage, we suggest washing samples first. This medium weight organic tissue should be dried in the shade, if it is to retain its natural colour. We recommend to treat the fabric with care by using mild detergent for washing, without optical brighteners. The washing temperature should not exceed 60°C. “Linen needs to swim” – so the washing drum should be filed only half, at most up to two thirds. Iron the fabric on reverse while still damp.
