This natural medium weight organic linen canvas is woven in plain weave. It carries the beautiful color and luster of natural linen. The yarn is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the fabric was woven and washed according to GOTS in Austria. The flax was grown in coastal areas of France, Belgium and the Netherlands biological. A classic linen fabric with many qualities: the linen is very sturdy and durable.  It is wonderful for opaque, durable clothing such as jackets, pants and vests, but equally suitable for dresses, skirts, blouses and shirts, children’s clothing, etc. Its natural aesthetic also gives home textiles such as bed and table linen and curtains a unique, authentic quality. We also recommend this natural linen for storage, protection and transportation of food, as well as for the making of bags and pocket lining. Pure linen shrinks about 3-5% in the first washes. To determine the exact shrinkage, we suggest washing samples first. Please also note: natural linen will fade in the sun. Linen lasts particularly long and stays beautiful equally. To benefit  from these inherent qualities accordingly, please refer to our care instructions. The fabric is best to be dried in the shade if it is to retain its natural color. In addition, a mild detergent should be used with no optical brighteners, and the temperature should not be hotter than 60°C. “Linen likes to swim”: therefore, when washing in the machine, make sure to only load half way, or two-thirds the max. This way, the linen will have enough water to clean thoroughly and not take damage. Iron linen at high temperature, on reverse while still damp. Please notice, that the color of the picture may not necessarily accurately reflect the color of the fabric. swatches . care.
